Military personnel in camouflage uniforms and red berets are patrolling a flooded urban street, likely during a disaster relief or security operation. The foreground soldier is armed with an assault rifle and wearing tactical gear, raising one gloved hand in a signaling gesture. The flooded street and surrounding architecture suggest this may be a post-hurricane urban environment, consistent with operations like those following Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.

A Paratrooper from 2nd Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment 82nd Airborne Division, brings his squad to a halt during a presence patrol Sept. 4 in the flooded French Quarter district of New Orleans. This patrol was the Battalion's first since they arrived to New Orleans just hours before in an effort to stabilize the area and provide humanitarian assistance to its residents.
