Leaders from the North Carolina National Guard held a memorial ceremony to honor the life of Sgt. 1st Class Micheal L. Coffey in Morganton, North Carolina, Aug. 1, 2025. Coffey, who was a Soldier with the North Carolina National Guard, tragically died in a motorcycle accident on June 27, 2025. Family, friends, and Soldiers attended to pay respects to Coffey.
