U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Havens Kenefick-Aschoff with Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, rides on a CH-47 Chinook helicopter, with Bravo Company, 2nd General Support Aviation Battalion, 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, all assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB), across the Otay Mountains, Calif. Aug. 6, 2025. The multi-purpose company had just completed a support operation for 716th Military Police Battalion, also assigned to JTF-SB, to identify routes illegal aliens and smugglers use in the region. JTF-SB executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
