Lt. Cmdr. Rudy Schoen, executive officer, Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal, unveils the name of a fallen explosive ordnance disposal technician on the EOD memorial at the 44th annual EOD memorial ceremony May 4. The ceremony, which took place across from the Kauffman EOD Training Complex, Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal, honored explosive ordnance disposal technicians who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country in performance of EOD missions. NAVSCOLEOD, located on Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., provides high-risk, specialized, basic and advanced EOD training to over 2,100 U.S. and partner nation military and selected U.S. government personnel each year.
