    1st Marine Division

    Marines serving with Kilo Battery, 3rd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, attached to 2nd Battalion, 11th Marines, dig ditches to place the supports, known as the trails, of the M777 Lightweight Howitzer, during Exercise Desert Scimitar here, May 3, 2013. The training ensures that 1st Marine Division is fully prepared to deploy as part of a Marine Air Ground Task Force.
