Hirono visited the construction site to get an update on the progress of the new dry dock that will enhance and maintain the Navy’s capability and capacity to repair, maintain, and modernize Navy fast-attack submarines. PHNSY & IMF’s mission is to keep the Navy’s fleet “Fit to Fight" by repairing, maintaining, and modernizing the Navy's fast-attack submarines and surface ships.
