PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii (July 2, 2025) – Jeremy "Maka" Keone, a training specialist with Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility, waters a young plumeria tree. At the same time, Yareli Donaldson, a workforce development trainer for Hawaii Regional Maintenance Center, checks the overall health of the tree, July 2, 2025. HRMC planted the young tree to commemorate the completion of an extended maintenance period on board the USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112). PHNSY & IMF's mission is to keep the Navy's fleet "Fit to Fight" by repairing, maintaining, and modernizing the Navy's fast-attack submarines and surface ships. Strategically located in the heart of the Pacific, it is the most comprehensive fleet repair and maintenance facility between the U.S. West Coast and the Far East. (U.S. Navy photo by Kenny Jones)
