Enrique Chumbo (center), a local Achiote community leader who not only coordinated the game, but also helped promote them to residents of the communities, coaches the local Panamanian children before a softball game here April 26. The service members of Task Force-Panama are playing a series of softball games against Panamanians of all ages. Two games will be held every two weeks in the Panamanian cities of Achiote and Escobal, where improvements are underway at medical clinics and schools. The first games were held two weeks ago and will continue until the engineering projects for Beyond the Horizon-Panama 2013 are finished in late June. BTH-Panama 2013 is a humanitarian and civic assistance mission sponsored by U.S. Southern Command involving U.S. service members engaging in medical and engineering support projects in the country.
