Sgt. Maj. of the Army Michael R. Weimer visits the Puerto Rico National Guard’s headquarters at Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico, Aug. 4, 2025. During the visit, the SMA conducted a town hall with noncommissioned officers, addressing a variety of topics and answering questions to foster open communication and professional development, and recognized several Soldiers with his coin of excellence for their dedicated service. He also engaged with Soldiers from the Recruitment and Retention Battalion, visited the 201st Multi-Functional Training Regiment at Fort Allen in Juana Díaz, and spoke with leaders and cadets at the Youth ChalleNGe Academy.
