Three U.S. Army UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters, with 3rd Assault Helicopter Battalion, 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB), prepare to execute an air assault mission into the Otay Mountains, near Chula Vista, Calif., July 30, 2025. The helicopters were being used as transportation for troops and equipment during the mission. JTF-SB executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
