BAY OF CADIZ, Spain - (July 27, 2025) Aviation Machinist's Mate 2nd Class Keith Gonzales (right), attached to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 79, Detachment 3, aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Bulkeley (DDG 84), signals to the pilots with illuminated batons during early morning flight operations on the flight deck prior to take off and launch. USS Bulkeley is returning to the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations to support the warfighting effectiveness, lethality, and readiness of U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, and defend U.S., Allied and partner interests in the region.
