Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Africa 13 Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Daniel Whisnant presents an American flag and certificate to Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps Gen. John M. Paxton, Jr., during a command visit to Naval Air Station Sigonella, Italy, March 3, 2013. The flag was flown over the U.S. Embassy, Tripoli, by Special-Purpose MAGTF Africa 13 Marines who are currently conducting an embassy reinforcement mission. During his visit, Paxton spoke to the Special-Purpose MAGTF Africa 13 Marines and Sailors about the problems they face and the importance of their military-to-military engagements in Africa.
