U.S. Marine Corps Master Sgt. Cory Ward, an operations chief with Marine Rotational Force - Darwin 25.3, instructs Marines on localized security procedures while supporting the MRF-D Marine Air-Ground Task Force mobile combat operations center during Talisman Sabre 25 in Queensland, Australia, July 19, 2025. The expeditionary, low signature COC enabled the MRF-D MAGTF Commander to provide command and control capabilities at the right time and place in support of combined and joint all domain operations. Talisman Sabre is the largest bilateral military exercise between Australia and the United States advancing a free and open Indo-Pacific by strengthening relationships and interoperability among key allies and partners, while enhancing our collective capabilities to respond to a wide array of potential security concerns. Marine Rotational Force – Darwin 25.3 is an annual six-month rotational deployment to enhance interoperability with the Australian Defence Force and provide a forward postured crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific.
