U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Gen. Eric Austin, commanding general of Marine Corps Combat Development Command and deputy commandant for Combat Development and Integration, and Dr. Brett A. Seidle, performing the duties of the Undersecretary of the Navy, receive honors during the Friday Evening Parade at Marine Barracks Washington, D.C., July 25, 2025. Austin served as the Evening Parade's hosting official, with Seidle as the guest of honor. The two stood side by side during the traditional honors portion of the ceremony, paying tribute as the official United States Marine Color Guard presented the national ensign . Held Friday evenings from May through August, Evening Parades are a time-honored Marine Corps’ tradition, celebrating the service’s discipline, precision and heritage through ceremonial drill, music and pageantry.
