U.S. Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 1, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin 25.3, begin to load meal rations aboard a 7-ton truck during exercise Talisman Sabre 25 in the Northern Territory, Australia, July 18, 2025. An aerial resupply of meal rations ensures troops operating in remote or contested areas receive sustained nourishment without disrupting operations or risking ground convoys. Talisman Sabre is the largest bilateral military exercise between Australia and the United States advancing a free and open Indo-Pacific by strengthening relationships and interoperability among key allies and partners, while enhancing our collective capabilities to respond to a wide array of potential security concerns. MRF- D 25.3 is an annual six-month rotational deployment to enhance interoperability with the Australian Defence Force and provide a forward postured crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific.
