Army ManTech, a member of the Joint Defense Manufacturing Technology Panel (JDMTP), displayed the Next Generation Integrated Head Protection System at the Pentagon, July 8, 2025. The new, lighter helmet uses special material to provide the warfighter with enhanced protection against bullets and fragments while weighing 40% less. The display was part of an annual event sponsored by the DoD Manufacturing Technology Program (DoD ManTech), which included exhibits and demonstrations across its portfolio. The JDMTP identifies shared manufacturing needs of the Military Services, and works with DoD ManTech to resolve warfighter challenges through technology and innovation.
