ATLANTIC OCEAN - (July 19, 2025) The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Bulkeley (DDG 84), recipient of the 2025 best-in-class gold anchor for retention excellence and homeported in Rota, Spain transits alongside Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo ship USNS Robert E. Peary (T-AKE-5), during a replenishment-at-sea. U.S. 2nd Fleet, reestablished in 2018 in response to the changing global security environment, develops and employs maritime ready forces to fight across multiple domains in the Atlantic and Arctic in order to ensure access, deter aggression and defend U.S., Allied, and partner interests.
