U.S. Airmen assigned to the 60th Maintenance Squadron, 749th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (AMXS) and 660th AMXS position a boom trailer underneath a KC-46A Pegasus while removing a boom at Travis Air Force Base, California, July 17, 2025. For removal, pivot access panels are removed, hydraulic fluid and jet fuel are drained, and umbilicals - responsible for sending electrical information to the boom - and connective tubes are disconnected.
