USACE Baltimore District park rangers, Leave No Trace staff, and volunteers planted 40 American chestnut seedlings at Jennings Randolph Lake. The June 7 tree planting concluded a three-day conservation education program that selected the West Virginia lake as one of only 19 sites nationwide for the Leave No Trace Spotlight initiative, aimed at restoring a native species decimated by blight in the 1930s.
