Damage Controlman Fireman Alfred Gonzalez helps a Tarawa 2008 Tiger Cruise participant put on firefighting gear aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Tarawa (LHA 1). Tiger Cruise is a Navy sponsored program in which friends or family members of Sailors and Marines ride a ship during its last week of deployment. Tarawa and the embarked 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) are on a regularly scheduled deployment to the Western Pacific in support of maritime security operations and the global war on terrorism.
