Micronesian islands are seen from a U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircraft assigned to the 60th Air Mobility Wing during the Air Force's 2025 Department-Level Exercise series, over the Federated States of Micronesia, July 13, 2025. Air Mobility Command is a critical component of the DLE series, validating the Air Force’s ability to project and sustain the Joint Force, Allies and partners across vast distances in scenarios where air and space superiority, power projection and global mobility are contested. The DLE series encompasses all branches of the Department of Defense, along with Allies and partners, employing more than 400 Joint and coalition aircraft and more than 12,000 members at more than 50 locations across 3,000 miles.
