Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi visited the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Security Studies Center (DKI APCSS) to attend a briefing on security issues in the Indo-Pacific region, Honolulu, Hawaii, July 16, 2025. DKI APCSS Director Suzanne Vares-Lum met with Mayor Blangiardi to enhance communication with his staff and other local stakeholders. DKI APCSS is a U.S. Department of Defense institute that addresses regional and global security issues, inviting military and civilian representatives of the United States and Indo-Pacific nations to its comprehensive program of executive education and workshops, both in Hawaii and throughout the Indo-Pacific region.
