Out of the misty morning hills… Hospitalman Christopher Agnone crests a portion of a challenging 7.9 course during the recently held Ragnar Road Northwest Passage relay. Agone was part of a 10-member Naval Hospital Bremerton team which took on the challenging - and fun – 200-mile relay run over two days, beginning on the Canadian border and finishing up south of Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. Each runner logged anywhere from 14 to 26 miles. Their collective determination exemplified the shared purpose of being prepared to respond when needed as a ready medical force. Mobility – tactical fitness - is key to that and the course provided ample miles to test each runner’s mettle of being able to handle grueling physical exertion when called upon. Also participating were Hospital Corpsmen 2nd Class Nicholas Gokee and Marissa Stancil, Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Rosie Rogel, Lt Hannah Phillips, Lt. Lauren Luscuskie, and Lt. Shane Green from NHB (Official Navy photo by Douglas H Stutz, NHB/NMRTC Bremerton public affairs).
