Marines from the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit fast rope from a CH-46 Sea Knight attached to Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron Reinforced HMM-166 during a Marine Air/Ground Task Force demonstration for "tigers" aboard amphibious assault ship USS Tarawa (LHA1). Tarawa's 2008 "Tiger Cruise" is a Navy sponsored program in which friends and family members of Sailors and Marines ride the ship during the last leg of its deployment, from Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, to San Diego. Tarawa and the embarked 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit are on a regularly scheduled deployment to the Western Pacific in support of Maritime Security Operations.
