A C-17 Globemaster III aircraft prepares to launch in support of the Air Force’s Department-Level Exercise 2025 at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawai’i, July 9, 2025. AMC’s role in the DLE series strengthens and demonstrates the U.S. Air Force’s ability to reach theater at speed and scale, sustain operations, and rapidly pivot to any theater of operation at a moment’s notice. The aircraft launch is part of the first-in-a-generation DLE series, a new way of conducting operations in a contested, dynamic environment to build capabilities making a stronger, more lethal deterrent force. The DLE series encompasses all branches of the Department of Defense, along with Allies and partners, employing more than 400 Joint and coalition aircraft and more than 12,000 members at more than 50 locations across 3,000 miles.
