Team Arifjan holds up the championship trophy after winning the Operation Hardwood championship game Aug. 31 at Camp Arifjan.
Operation Hardwood "hoops with the troops" is a double-elimination basketball tournament made up of teams of servicemembers from the eight Kuwait military camps. Each team is coached by an NCAA basketball coach, who flew over seas to coach and mentor the teams as well as visit with troops.
