Joe Cahill, commander, Naval Surface Force Atlantic (COMNAVSURFLANT), addresses Sailors assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109) and presents the ship with the Combat Action Ribbon during a visit to Naval Station Mayport, July 10, 2025. Jason Dunham, assigned to the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group (HSTCSG), returned to Naval Station Mayport following a nearly nine-month deployment to the U.S. European and Central Command areas of responsibility. COMNAVSURFLANT mans, trains and equips assigned surface forces and shore activities, ensuring a capable force for conducting prompt and sustained operations in support of United States national interests.
