U.S. Marine Corps drill instructors with Marine Corps Recruit Depot, assigned to Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Marine Corps-250, speak to members of the Marillac Saint Vincent, a community center, during Marine Week Chicago, July 10, 2025. The drill instructors gave a demonstration of the drill instructor creed speech to the assembled crowd, the same speech given to recruits upon arriving for entry level training in the Marine Corps Recruit Depots. Throughout 2025, Marines across the globe will celebrate the 250th birthday of the Corps, commemorating service, sacrifice, and priding themselves on living ‘Semper Fidelis’ or ‘Always Faithful’ to their nation and to each other.
