    31st Marine Expeditionary Unit

A U.S. Marine Corps MV-22B Osprey assigned to Marine Medium Tilt Rotor Squadron (VMM) 265 (Rein.), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, lands on the airfield during a forward arming and refueling point exercise at Glen Airfield, Queensland, Australia, July 7, 2025. A FARP is a secured, temporary facility organized, equipped, and deployed to provide fuel and ammunition necessary for the employment of aviation maneuver units in combat. The 31st MEU is operating aboard the ships of the USS America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations, the U.S. Navy’s largest forward deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
