The image is taken from inside a military cargo aircraft looking out through the open rear ramp door toward a desert landscape below. One paratrooper with a deployed green round parachute is visible descending, while a static line and a second jumper in free fall are also visible. The terrain below appears to be a flat, sandy desert with vehicle track marks visible on the surface.

26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Maritime Raid Force Marines exit the back of a CH-53E Super Stallion assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 266 Reinforced, while conducting a parachute operation during Exercise Eagle Resolve over Qatar, April 26, 2013. Eagle Resolve is an annual multilateral exercise designed to enhance regional cooperative defense efforts in the Gulf Cooperation Council nations and U.S. Central Command. The 26th MEU is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations aboard the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group. The 26th MEU operates continuously across the globe, providing the president and unified combatant commanders with a forward-deployed, sea-based quick reaction force. The MEU is a Marine Air-Ground Task Force capable of conducting amphibious operations, crisis response and limited contingency operations. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Christopher Q.
