U.S. Marine Corps Gunnery Sgt. Caleb Steel, the platoon sergeant for the Upper Brass Platoon with the United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps, is recognized during a battalion formation at Marine Barracks Washington, July 4, 2025. Battalion leadership recognized Steel for his exemplary performance on the SEAC Retirement Parade Staff and his leadership as a platoon sergeant, command financial specialist and several other roles. The formation served as an opportunity to pause, reflect, and recognize the hard work and dedication of Marines amid the long summer of parades, ceremonies, and events supported by the Barracks.
