The Army Golden Knights parachute team jumped from a plane flying at about 12,500 feet, landing on a predetermined target at Opa Locka Airport in Miami to the amazement of the crowd there May 4. The jump demonstration was part of a day of activities at Opa Locka Airport in Miami that included a joint enlistment ceremony and the recognition of family, friends, employers and the Tuskegee Airmen.
