Loaders prepare to transfer the last of 36,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies destined for Operation Enduring Freedom troops. The shipment was the first of three planned by the Girl Scouts of San Diego-Imperial Council, who raised donations for more than 104,000 boxes through "Operation Thin Mint." Hundreds of the Scouts and their military guests gathered in San Diego April 9, 2002, to watch the first shipment depart for Singapore. Photo courtesy Girl Scout San Diego-Imperial Council.
