An F-15E Strike Eagle pilot from the 494th Fighter Squadron, RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom, waits for a signal to shut down his engines after returning from a Operation Allied Force bombing mission over Yugoslavia. Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld uses the 1999 operation as a prime example why standing joint task force headquarters are needed in the future.
