The Army's National Automotive Center and DriverTech Inc. of Salt Lake City, Utah, joined together in a dual-use cooperative development program to create a device that would meet the needs of Army logisticians and commercial users. The Truck PC, shown in this illustration, provides computing and communications capability to a vehicle operator or passenger. Specifically designed for military truck use, the system provides increased situational awareness, improved battlefield communications, increased readiness and improved safety.
