Marine Cpl. John T. Phillips, a medical outpatient at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., talks with Marine Capt. Milinda J. Benitez at newly-renovated Mercy Hall April 2, 2008. Phillips, who hails from Wasilla, Alaska, was wounded in Iraq by a detonating roadside bomb during duty in Anbar province in November 2006. Benitez is the administrative liaison officer for wounded Marines in the National Capitol Area, which includes Marines treated at Bethesda and Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
