U.S. Sen. John Cornyn of Texas presents 7-year-old Shannon Frantz with a Gold Medal of Remembrance on May 26, 2008. Shannon is the daughter of Pvt. Robert Frantz, who was wounded in Baghdad, Iraq, when a resident threw a grenade over the wall. He died June 17, 2003.
