Acting Assistant Defense Secretary for Reserve Affairs Richard O. Wightman, Jr. and Estonia Ambassador Eerik Marmei sign an official agreement Feb. 10 at the Estonian embassy expanding opportunities for guardsmen and reservists to exchange forces in order to improve NATO interoperability. The Military Reserve Exchange Program (MREP) specifically calls for exchanges in cyber, maneuver and special warfare. The MREP with Estonia joins existing programs with Germany, the United Kingdom and Denmark. More than 300 MREP exchanges occur each year. DoD photo by Steve Turner
