U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Benjamin Sanchez Mendez, a loadmaster with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron (VMGR) 153, Marine Aircraft Group 24, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, performs a preflight inspection on a KC-130J as part of their deployment for training (DFT) at Western Aircraft Inc., Boise, Idaho, June 29, 2025. The DFT provided VMGR-153 pilots and aircrew with essential unit level training unavailable at their home station and enhanced the squadron’s combat readiness.
