U.S. Soldiers, assigned to 3rd Assault Helicopter Battalion, 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, under Joint Task Force-Southern Border, monitor the southern border in a U.S. Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter, near Bisbee, Ariz., June 29, 2025. The UH-60 Black Hawk is used to conduct aerial patrols to assist the U.S. Border Patrol with detection and monitoring along the southern border. Joint Task Force-Southern Border executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
