David LeBlanc, data management chief for the Force Management Directorate, Office of the Chief of Army Reserve, leads a training session during a quarterly Army Organization Server workshop at Fort Belvoir, VA. For the 34 Soldiers from across 24 different organizations and commands who attended this iteration, it was a chance to develop and enhance AOS skills. Second, it was a forum to resolve data discrepancies. As AOS is the data source for the Army Reserve’s Integrated Personnel and Pay System human resources and finance platform, every Soldier position must be “correct” in AOS to feed data to IPPS-A, or a Soldier’s assignment could be adversely impacted. The training emphasized collaboration between Force Management and G1 teams to maintain data accuracy, ultimately benefiting Soldier readiness and unit effectiveness.
The instructors for this event were: Mr. David LeBlanc, Master Sgt. Tariq Aldamen and Mr. Eddie Watts (OCAR), and Mr. Paul Fryrear and Mr. Damien McMillian from United States Army Reserve Command.
