MEDITERRANEAN SEA – (June 23, 2025) U.S. Navy Quartermaster Seaman Apprentice Elier Canizares, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Paul Ignatius (DDG 117), measures the distance between the Henry J. Kaiser-class underway replenishment oiler USNS Laramie (T-AO203), and the Paul Ignatius, as Paul Ignatius prepares to make their approach. Paul Ignatius is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations to support the warfighting effectiveness, lethality, and readiness of U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa, and to defend U.S., Allied and partner interests in the region.
