U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Jacob Godby reports in during the unit’s change of command ceremony on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, June 26, 2025. The ceremony signified the official transfer of command of 12th Marine Littoral Regiment from Col. Peter Eltringham to Col. Richard Neikirk. Godby, a native of Virginia, is the commanding officer of 12th Littoral Combat Team, 12th MLR, 3d Marine Division.
