U.S. Marine Corps Col. Richard Neikirk gives remarks during the unit’s change of command ceremony on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, June 26, 2025. The ceremony signified the official transfer of command of 12th Marine Littoral Regiment from Col. Peter Eltringham to Col. Richard Neikirk. In lieu of flowers, the Eltringham and Neikerk families gifted a donation to Okinawa’s Nagomi Children's Home.
