U.S. Army Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment conducted a joint live-fire exercise integrating AH-64E Apache attack helicopters with USMC F/A-18 Hornets on Fort Cavazos, Texas, June 17, 2025. Simultaneous fires from AH-64s and F/A-18s, synchronized by U.S. Air Force Joint Terminal Attack Controllers (JTAC), demonstrated effective integration of rotary and fixed-wing assets. This exercise improved route planning, validated direct fire coordination, and strengthened secure communication, bolstering combat readiness and mission command capabilities across the Joint force.
