U.S. Army musicians assigned to the U.S. Army Europe & Africa band play “Misty,” composed by Erroll Garner, during the 21st Theater Sustainment Command’s 2025 Sustainment Ball on Ramstein Air Base, Germany, June 14, 2025. The USAREUR-AF Band is a versatile ensemble in great demand. Components include a concert and marching band, a ceremonial group, the “Free Groove” rock/pop band, the “Rhine River Ramblers” New Orleans-style jazz ensemble, and classical chamber ensembles. Members earn their positions through a special audition, and most have performed or taught professionally before entering military service. Many musicians hold degrees in music from highly regarded universities and conservatories. (U.S. Army photo by Spc. Elijah Campbell)
