    Mark Paikuli-Stride, taro farmer and Chairman of the Board for Aloha Aina Agri-Cultural Health and Learning Center gives a map orientation of the surrounding area and cultural sites to representatives from Marine Corps Base Hawai’i (MCBH), Army Environmental Command, the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR), and the Trust for Public Land (TPL) during a visit to the Maunawili Forest and Lo’i, June 6, 2025. MCBH leadership joined representatives from Army Environmental Command, DLNR, and TPL during a site visit to Maunawili Forest and Lo’i to discuss a collaborative partnership aimed at preserving vital waterways, protecting cultural and historic sites, and supporting agricultural and conservation lands in the region.
