250529-N-GL382-1004 MANUS, Papua New Guinea (May 29, 2025) Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3 (NMCB), use a compact skid loader to hold a 30 foot light pole in place to allow the crew to adjust the chains tethering the light pole to the 11K telehandler’s forks, guaranteeing a safer operation. NMCB-3 serves as the stand-in engineering force for Commander, 7th Fleet, executing high-quality construction operations, activities, and investments, and is capable at the unit-of-action level to support major combat operations in the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command area of operations with efficient airfield, waterfront, and advanced base construction.
