David Linkenhoker III, right, a helicopter crew chief with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 462, Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW), and a U.S. Marine with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron (HMLA) 169, MAG-36, 1st MAW, refuel an AH-1Z Viper helicopter with HMLA-169 during an air delivered ground refuel exercise during Fuji Viper at Combined Arms Training Center, Fuji, Japan, June 12, 2025. 1st MAW supported 4th Marine Regiment's execution of Fuji Viper 25.3 by providing combat assault transport and aerial escort, aerial delivery operations, and simulated close air support.
