    DoD Southern Border 2025

From left, Rugged Applications Platform-Tactical Radios Technical Operations (RAP-TR) Instructor JaShon Hunter, instructs U.S. Army Spc. Quincy Jones and Spc. Carlos Brambila, both assigned to 1st Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, on Atom software designed to set up the fills for radios using the mobile user objective system at Fort Bliss, Texas, June 5, 2025. The system provides U.S. Soldiers with secure, beyond-line-of-sight, point-to-point communications, enabling command teams and U.S Border Patrol agents to maneuver freely while maintaining constant contact with higher headquarters. Under the direction of U.S. Northern Command, Joint Task Force–Southern Border aligns efforts to seal the southern border and repel illegal activity and is responsible for full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations, which will allow for more effective and efficient DoD operations.
